3. How We Use Your Information

We do not sell your personal information.
4. Consent
We collect, use, and disclose personal information with your consent, except where the law allows otherwise. By creating an account and using the Services, you consent to the uses described in this policy that are needed to provide the Services.
We will ask for your separate, express consent before sending you newsletters or promotional emails. Every promotional email will include a way to unsubscribe, and we will act on your request within 10 business days.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you withdraw consent that we need to provide a Service, we may no longer be able to provide it, and we will explain what that means for you.
5. Who We Share Information With
We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the Services, and only as much as they need:
- Clerk: sign-in and account management.

- Stripe: payment processing, receipts, refunds, and fraud prevention.
- Wistia: course video hosting and playback.
These providers may use the information only to provide services to us and must protect it. We may also disclose personal information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Pacemaker, our users, or others, or as part of a merger, sale, or transfer of our business, in which case the recipient must continue to protect it under this policy.
6. Storage and Processing Outside Canada
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside Canada, including in the United States. While it is outside Canada, your information is subject to the laws of that country and may be accessed by its courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities. We use contracts and other measures to require these providers to protect it.
7. How Long We Keep Information
- Account and learning information: while your account is open. After you ask us to close your account, we delete or anonymize it within 30 days, unless we need to keep it to resolve a dispute or meet a legal obligation.
- Purchase and payment records: for at least six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, as required for Canadian tax and accounting purposes.
- Reviews: until you delete them or close your account.
- Messages you send us: for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
8. How We Protect Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards suited to the sensitivity of the information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls that limit personal information to people who need it, and reputable service providers with their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.
9. Your Rights
You can ask to:
- see the personal information we hold about you and learn how we have used and shared it;
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- withdraw your consent; and
- close your account and have your personal information deleted, subject to the retention periods above.
Send requests to Hello@pacemakerca.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within 30 days, or tell you if we need more time and why. You can update some information yourself on My Page.

11. Children
The Services are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 16 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Questions and Complaints
